In order to register to attend either of the two symposia, all participants must (i) submit a completed registration form, and (ii) remit the applicable registration fee. The registration fee will differ, depending on whether or not one is an author of a paper. The applicable rates are indicated on the registration form (see link below). The rates have been fixed in Euro. International participants must remit the registration fee in Euro (as indicated), but local participants may make payment in equivalent South African Rands.
The registration fee will cover a set of both the ISASEM and ISASED Proceedings, attendance at any of the sessions of the two symposia, the Welcome Reception, the Symposia Dinner, as well as lunches and refreshments throughout the Symposia.
The final deadline for registration for attendance at the Symposia is 31 May 2026 for Authors of papers, and 31 July 2026 for Non-Author participants. Early registration is encouraged for both Authors and Non-Authors; there is an early-bird discount for Authors and Non-Authors who register before 31 March 2026. To encourage participation by students, a reduced registration rate is offered to all fulltime research students who intend to attend the Symposia and present a paper. To qualify for this rate, proof of full-time student status will be required.
Only papers of Authors who have registered will be published in the Symposia Proceedings. Authors of papers will need to plan to register by 31 May 2026 in order to ensure that their papers are included in the published Proceedings. In this regard, a single registration will cover the publication of not more than 2 papers.

Cancellation Policy: Refunds on cancellations will be subject to a deduction to cover administration costs and bank charges. The deduction shall be 15% of the registration fee paid if the cancellation is notified before 15 June 2026. No refunds shall be given for any cancellations made after 15 June 2026, but in the event of a previously registered delegate being unable to attend the symposia for whatever reason, it will be acceptable to have another person attending in his or her place.
